About KOALA

The Conference on Optics, Atoms, and Laser Applications (KOALA) is a student conference on all aspects of lasers, optics and atoms! It is an affordable, inclusive, and supportive conference. There is a focus on academic discourse, with further emphasis on networking for industry careers.
KOALA is a fully in-person conference, with accommodation provided.

KOALA is being hosted at the Australian National University for the first time! Located in the heart of Canberra, ACT - the Bush Capital of Australia - the conference will be held in the new state-of-the-art Research School of Physics building overlooking Lake Burley Griffin.
